Head of Retail Marketing: Alan
Thornton (Nelson Bakewell)
Alan joined Nelson Bakewell in 2001 in order to set up a retail
marketing division which offers services to both managed and non-managed
schemes.
His immediate background includes running
the marketing of Arcadias flagship chain, Topshop overseeing
its revival in fortunes to become fashion retailer of the
year. Prior to this he was Marketing Manager at Whiteleys
of Bayswater, Standard Lifes prestigious London shopping
centre, winning several major international advertising and PR awards
over the period.
He has also recently been involved in other
diverse projects such as the marketing of a West End musical and
the running a youth-brand dot-com venture as Marketing Director.
